Cherry-Coconut Bars

- Heat oven to 350°.
- Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. With hands, mix 1 cup of flour, butter and confectioners’ sugar until smooth.
- Spread thin with fingers in ungreased square pan, 9″.
- Bake about 25 minutes.
- Stir rest of ingredients into eggs. Spread over top of baked pastry (no need to cool). Bake about 25 minutes.
- Cool. Cut into bars.
Chocolate Crinkles

- Mix oil, chocolate and granulated sugar.
- Blend in one egg at a time until well mixed.
- Add vanilla.
- Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Stir flour, baking powder into oil mixture.
- Chill several hours or overnight.
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Drop teaspoonfuls of dough into confectioners’ sugar. Roll in sugar; shape into balls. Place about 2″ apart on greased baking sheet.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Do not over bake!
Mary’s Sugar Cookies

- Mix Sugar, butter and margarine.
- Add egg and flavorings; mix thoroughly.
- Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Stir dry ingredients together and blend in. refrigerate 2 to 3 hours.
- Heat oven to 375°. Divide dough in half and roll 3/16″ thick on lightly floured pastry cloth. Cut with cookie cutter; sprinkle with sugar.
- Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until delicately golden
- Frost with tinted icing (powdered sugar mixed with milk)
Thumbprint Cookies

Heat oven to 350°. Mix shortening, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Blend together flour and salt; stir in. Roll dough into balls (1 tsp. per ball). Beat egg white slightly with fork. Dip balls in egg white. Roll in nuts. Place about 1″ apart on ungreased baking sheet; press thumb gently in center of each. Bake 10 to 12 mnutes or until set. Cool. Fill thumbprints with tinted icing.
Deep Dark Chocolate Biscotti

Made this recipe for the 2nd Annual Christmas Cookie exchange. It won no awards, but I enjoyed it.

The perfect sauce for real KC BBQ.
Directions
- Mix together all dry ingredients.In a very large bowl mix together all liquid ingredients, then fold in the dry spices.Keep refrigerated, but best served warm.
Pork & Rib Rub

Mix it up.
When ready to grill (or smoke, if you’re doing real BBQ), rub on the meat generously and let sit for 15 minutes before cooking.
Lemon Bars

- Heat oven to 350°
- Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Blend flour, butter, and confectioner’s sugar thoroughly. Press evenly into 8″x8″2″ pan. Bake 20 minutes.
- Beat rest of ingredients together. Pour over crust and bake 20-25 minutes more. Do not over bake!
The filling puffs during baking but flattens when cooled.
Chocolate Sugar Cookie Drops

- Preheat oven to 350°
- In a small bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside
- In a large bowl combine 1 cup sugar and vegetable oil; mix well
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract
- Gradually add flour mixture
- Stir in Nestle Toll House Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels.
- Drop by Rounded measuring teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets
- Shape into balls; roll in remaining sugar
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes
Candy Kisses Cookies

Sift together:
- 1 3/4 cups Flour
- 1 tsp. Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
Cream together:
- 1 cup Butter
- 1/3 cup Peanut butter
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 Egg
- Shape into small balls and roll in sugar.
- Place on greased cookie sheet and bake 8 minutes at 350°
- Remove and press Hersey Kiss on cookie so it cracks around the edge
- Return and bake 2 to 5 minutes longer
